Do you accept insurance?

Yes, The Centered Life is an in network provider with several insurance plans. Please contact us for the most updated information.

Many insurance policies also include out-of-network benefits. Clients may be able to seek a partial or full reimbursement from their insurer. Our staff can assist with this process.

Our practice values the flexibility of treatment when we don’t bill insurance providers. Mainly, we want our clients to have full control of their records, which is why we do not bill most insurance providers.

What are the benefits of not using my insurance?
No Diagnosis Is Required:

Services are not contingent upon a diagnosis. Insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to receive financial reimbursement for counseling.

Your Privacy Is Protected :

Insurance companies require information about their clients’ diagnosis, qualifying symptoms, and work in counseling. Bypassing insurance companies allows strict confidentiality. No information is shared with anyone.

Service And Time Frame Are Your Decision:

The type of service you need and the time frame in which it is provided is a decision made between the partners in the therapy process, based on direct experience, rather than an insurance company deciding the amount and level of coverage.

How long is each session?

Clients can expect each session to be 45-50 minutes, unless otherwise arranged.

How quickly can I come in for an appointment?

We are able to find available openings for clients within 1-2 business days.

What can I expect the first time I call?

The first time a client contacts The Centered Life, they can expect to speak to a licensed clinician, and not a secretary. We believe that the therapeutic bond is one of the most important partsof treatment and that it begins from the initial call.

Our clinicians will hear your reasons for seeking our services, and answer any questions a prospective client may have. Our guiding principle from the start, is to create a strong therapeutic bond; this includes connecting our clients to a therapist that would best fit their needs. The entirety of the call can take up to 15-20 minutes.

How do I get started?

We at The Centered Life, acknowledge how difficult the first call can be. Please feel free to contact us via email and request one of our clinicians to contact you, at a time that is most convenient. Clients can also call with questions or to schedule an initial meeting.

Are evening and weekend appointments available?

Absolutely. The best way to receive the most out of our services is to attend regularly. For this reason, our staff can accommodate evening and weekend availability.

What can I expect during my first session?

Clients will be welcomed by a private facility (removed from other offices/businesses) with ample, free parking. The atmosphere is inviting and tranquil. Clients are invited to help themselves to a hot or cold beverage and a light snack.

During the first meeting, clients can expect to discuss the reasons that brought them in for services, their goals/expectations for treatment and other relevant information. Clients will also spend time getting to know their therapist and are welcome to inquire about any other information relevant to the therapeutic process.
