Tamia Sawyer

Hello, everyone! My name is Tamia Sawyer, and I am thrilled to be joining The Centered Life! 

I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to work collaboratively with individuals and their families. I believe in taking a strengths-based approach, recognizing, and building on the unique assets that each person brings to the table. Empowerment, empathy, and cultural sensitivity are at the core of my practice, ensuring that my clients feel heard, valued, and supported on their journey towards positive change.

My primary focus lies in working with children and adolescents, providing them with essential support to navigate through the often turbulent moments of growing up. Having worked as an educator has given me the unique vantage point of how mental health affects academic performance and has inspired me to become a therapist so that I can better support students. 

With a strong commitment to social justice and equity, my ultimate goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve. I believe, together, we can create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive!
